When We Are Closed
Outside our normal opening hours all emergency calls are handled by the local out-of-hours service Derbyshire Health United. The telephone number to contact them is 111.
The NHS 111 service is now available to callers living in or visiting Derby City. Calls to this number are free from landlines and mobile phones and the service is available 24 hours a day, every day. 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help and it can also help to free up 999 and local A&E departments so that they can focus on emergency cases. For those patients who have access to this number please use it to contact the out-of-hours service.
Please note - the surgeries will be closed on Public Holidays, for example at Christmas, New Year, Easter and on Bank Holidays. Opening hours around these times will be advertised on the premises and the local out of hours service will provide cover outside of normal hours. Please enquire at reception if you require any clarification about holiday arrangements.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
